Great Big (Ever-so-slightly) Bookish Quiz Night In Support of Mencap

Join us for an evening of relaxed quizzing, fun, and games and raise money for a great cause (Mid-Dorset Mencap) at the same time … we promise it will only be slightly bookish!

Taking place in the beautiful surroundings of The King’s Arms Hotel on Wednesday 17th June (from 7pm), the quiz night will be a chance to get together with friends, have a drink, and enjoy yourself whilst trying to win some prizes and raise money for charity. There will be a cash prize for the winning team, runners up prizes, a raffle, and a few other games - with all profits going to Mencap.

Teams can be up to a maximum of 4 people. Bring some friends or colleagues and show off your quizzing skills.

The quiz night also forms part of Independent Bookshop Week 2026 (13-20 June) celebrating the importance of independent bookshops to local communities and town centres.
