We are a Bookshop Champion for Independent Bookshop Week 2026!

We are so pleased to be able to tell you all that Teasel & Skylark has been named as a Bookshop Champion for Independent Bookshop Week which runs between 13 and 20 June.

We are one of only 20 bookshop champions in the UK so we are doubly excited by this news - it is a real honour, especially as 2026 is the 20th year of this campaign!

As a Bookshop Champion, we will represent the independent bookselling sector’s renowned innovation, community impact and commitment to reading for pleasure throughout the Independent Bookshop Week 2026 campaign.

Independent bookshops such as ours are rooted in real lives - every book bought directly supports the people who have taken the risk to create something meaningful in their community. At Teasel & Skylark Books, we see daily how a welcoming, thoughtfully curated space can spark conversations, nurture reading for pleasure, and bring people together.

Supporting independent bookshops, especially during Independent Bookshop Week, sustains not just local culture and community, but the individuals behind it — keeping our high streets personal, distinctive, and alive, and preserving the joy of discovering books in a way that algorithms simply can’t replicate.
